Ash and Misty   Part 15  The


"What?!" Misty asked sounding astoished.
"That's right.  You leg is broken and it will take 12 days to heal." Doc. said.  (That is not how long it would take in real life but it will in this story.)
The doctor put the cast on Misty's leg.  He took Misty to the waiting room where Ash was pacing back and forth.
"Ash, Misty's leg is broken so she will have to be under watch of her family or friends.  And, she can't go to the Pokemon Gym to work for 12 days, untill it heals."  The doctor told Ash, helping Misty get to him.
"Okay." Ash said, walking over to her and the doctor.  He took Misty from him and she put her arm around his neck trying to balance herself.  The doctor went up to the front desk and told her the reqirements.  The front desk keeper wrote it down as the doctor left.  She gave the note to Ash, told him what was on it, and gave them Misty's crutches.  Then the desk keeper went back to the desk.  

Ash and Misty walked and crutched out the door.  
"Ash..." Misty asked. "Can I stay with you?"
"Huh?  Oh... Ya sure..." Ash answered.
"What's wrong?" Misty asked.
"Oh, I was just thinking." Ash answered. "How did you brake your leg?"
"I don't know..." She answered. "Maybe it was when I fell in the river... but I was okay after, untill when we started walking after getting my stuff..."
"Ya, maybe..." He said.
"Ash?" She asked. "What do you think it was?"
"I don't know...." He answered.


They kept walking.  He had Misty's bag on his back, and he started to hold Misty up helping her walk on her crutches.  They got to his house and he opened the door.  They walked in and Ash put Misty's bag on the table.  She went over to the couch and sat down.  
"Ah, I feels good to sit down." She said.
Ash sat down beside her.
"Ya, it does." He said looking at her.
"What?" She asked looking at her dress, her arms, and her legs. "What?"
"....nothin'..." He answered.
"Ya.  Sure.  Whatever.  Tell me." She said.
"I was just... thinking how scared I was when Team Rocket took you, both times." Ash answered after a while.
"Oh, ya.  You said that you would tell me about it." She said.
"Oh, yeah." He answers.  "Do you want me to tell you now?"
"Yes, please.  I have anough time." She answers.


He told her how he saved her the second time.  How Gary had pussed him out of the way of the falling cage.  How he had to hide from Team Rocket.  How Gary had to give his Pokemon to them, but gave them empty Pokeballs.  How he ran to the doors and all he saw were cages, rope, and wood.  How he finally came to a door that lead him to the cage Misty was in.  How she looked in the cage: Her legs, arms, and mouth were taped together.  How he found the keys, unlocked the door of the cage, and put Misty over his shoulders.  How he ran out and saw Gary out of the cage that fell on him.  How Gary got caught again trying to save him and Misty.  And, how he ran to the Police Station, gave her to Officer Jenny, and ran back to help Gary, who had blown up the hidout and rode off on Flook.

Misty was very interested in the story.  She was sitting very close to Ash, listing to every word he said.  She saw his eye start to tear up when he told her how she was lookecd in the cage, how she was tied up, how she looked like she was dying.
"Ash..." Misty said. "I'm okay now, I'm not dead, I'm not tied up anymore..."
"Ya, I know, it was just scarry seeing you like that." Ash said.
She put her arm around Ash, and hugged him.
"I know..." She said.

He put his arm around her, he leaned on her, holding her closer than she was holding him.  He turned his head to face her.  She turned to him.  They where face-to-face now, leaning to each other, and almost kissing, when a knock sounded on the door...
