My heart beats fast a slow,
a love he will never know.

In death I will part,
even then he'll have my heart.

My love for him will grow,
it won't even show.

Nothing can pull it apart,
it's as beautiful as art.

How I love him so,
but I'm afraid he'll say no.

I got shot with a love dart,
but I wasn't smart.

I knew a long time ago,
I couldn't let it go.

It was attraction from the start,
my love for him is off the chart.

Ever since he said "Hello,"
my heart has been aglow.

Even when I depart,
I won't be able to outsmart.

My heart will be in woe,
as I keep up with the flow.

Princess Without a Crown

I had a friend-
her face I'll never forget.

Days she would go to school,
arms so black and blue.
She'd fall into my arms-
and tell me she hated her dad.
I'd tell her, "It's alright, I hate him too."
I shouldn't lie, but what else do I do?

She'd lie to the teacher
and say that she fell down.
She too nice to cause worry
She's a princess without a crown.
She would come to my house,
to get away from her dad.
She could never stay over
and for that I was always sad.
Her sisters had it hard too
But not as hard as she.

Her mom wouldn't listen-
She'd turn a blind eye
or add to the sin.
A princess without a crown,
A friend I let down.

We wish you a Christmas maxed with joys,
many boxes filled with toys.
Merry Christmas to you and me,
decorations as far as you can see.
The Christmas tree up and gleaming,
the Christmas pie hot and steaming.
Santa's coming, so no fuss.

Some days we think it's there,
some days we think it's not.
Love can hurt,
love can be the best feeling in the world.
